How to Write a Relatable Content
Home »
We’ve all encountered writing a content, but our message is not getting the attention it should. Your prospect doesn’t need another sales pitch. The tone of your conversational approach is like you talking to your best friend. In marketing, writing a relatable content is imperative to keep your audience engaged.
Here are some tips on how you can have the audience glued to your content and what you have to say.
-
Speak about your common interest
- It is always a good idea to find out what the crowd you are speaking to is interested in. For example, if you have more men in the crowd, you don’t really want to talk about your subject in a way that bores them or of no direct interest to them, like makeup and bags. Other aspects to consider would be the local culture, age, personal choice, religious inclinations, etc. Talk about what’s being solved to them, something they can easily relate to without a stretch of imagination.
-
Maintain your crowd attention but engaging them in the conversation
- Audiences are human too, and most people have a desire to be acknowledged as much as you want to be acknowledged for speaking in front of them. Praise them and thank them for their time. There is only one requirement for this maxim, that your praise be one hundred percent sincere. Anything less and you’ll have resentment in your hands.
-
Have the audience participate
- Ask them questions in between. Make them do something with you. Get feedback. This could also be your mini survey which you can use in your business. The point is to involve the audience, once more, making it more real to them. Taking them along the journey with you in your experience.
-
Less of you, more of them
- Play yourself down. Nobody, especially an audience, likes to be lectured to. The long and winding spiel about you and how good you are…This could work against you in some levels. By doing this, you might give them the feeling of hopelessness. That you’ve achieved this much, and they haven’t. Or they feel motivated by your story. Never feel that you are above them. The better way to think about your audience would be that you care about their welfare. Think of yourself as their best friend, and often, this will hold you in good stead.
